The Treasure Hunt at the National Gallery - Sunday 11th May.

Reviewed by Angie Coleman and Alison Hooper

On Sunday 11th of May The London Vampyre Group took over the National Gallery, running (ooh, sorry, we weren't allowed to run) - walking riot in the numerous rooms of art.

To our surprise our group started first (we finished last, but never mind!) and got completely stumped by question two - On the rocks?... Very sneaky old people!!

We found that other members caught up quickly and we began talking, but shielded our papers (not that we thought you might cheat!). By the end, we had begun to look for which paintings the other members had congregated around for clues - does that count as cheating?

The rule about not killing any annoying tourists was very hard to abide by, seeing as they were ALWAYS in the way, but we just about managed it.

By three o'clock most people had finished (except Mick and Esme, who eventually got disqualified for taking too long!) and Marcie announced the winners while frightening the OAPs by revealing that we were all vampyres.

Congraulations to Pandora's group [Pandora, Andy and Bridget] for coming first. (We didn't come anywhere but had a great day all the same). The Group agreed on a celebratory trip to the pub where we, being the youngest, found the downside to the day being thrown out for being 'underage and not drinking'. Special thanks to Marcie and Klif for diverting every one to a 'nice pub' just for us.

Our verdict of the day - enjoyed by all. Thanks again to Marcie for organising it - the final question was a killer! Another treasure hunt woulbe welcome - perhaps the London Dungeon?
